The Red

Very Proud Battanian - Skull Collector Like Tasiel

This companion hails from Battania and unlike Ironbelly - he is deeply proud of that fact. He's also a collector of "deeds" an old Battanian tradition of keeping the skulls of your enemies. Although this may have been the reason The Red was kicked out of his village.

Companion Story

The Red had a hall a year back where all his "deeds" lay. He does things the old way, collecting the skulls of the enemies who've fell to his spear. (Tasiel also owns a skull collection).

So far The Red has taken such great names as "Brechtan the Old, Lamaich the Lame, and Archan the Bull". But, he goes onto say, a true Battanian never boasts however - because his skulls are all above his hearth for all to see. The warriors of his village didn't see it that way though. In his words they were envious.

Some conspired against The Red. Losing him his hall, and having him kicked out of the village. So The Red burried his skulls. A pity he thinks - that a collection like his will never be seen again.

Now he's a hired spear looking for work to save up to build a new hall to store a new "deed" collection.

In Summary

"Well now, I am a warrior of the Battanians. There is no greater boast than that, I will tell you! But perhaps if you hire me, I can tell you more later about the great names I have slain and the heads I have taken."

Cut Content and Dialogue

The character, unfortunately, is not in the companion_strings.XML file and so no cut content or dialogue can be dug up but the wanderer_strings.XML file calls him "the boar". Maybe that was an older version of his nickname.
