This character is the head of fen Caernacht of Battania. She is the wife of Rodarac and the mother of Guaran.

She is the only woman currently leading a clan in Battania.

In the lords.XML file this character has this note attached "Marein, matriarch of the clan. Ruthless but attentive to others".

Her original name was Marein and she's been planned from the beginning to be a matriarch of fen Caernacht. 

The lords.XML file it says this character has an ironic voice.

In the voice_strings.XML file it states that ironic means extrovert, not agreeable - Likes to talk, but can enjoy being provocative, abrasive, or offensive. Voice suggests that the character is always on the edge of cracking a quip. Such as with Marc Anthony in "Rome" and Wellington in "Napoleon".
