This companion hails from Battania. She's a herb doctor by trade but more of a calculating entrepreneur.
Companion Story
From generation to generation The Healer's family passed down the artform -- and other services. All that can be accomplished with herbs. But despite all her family's skill they remained poor. Only the richly robed men, with only half her family's skill, were allowed to tend to the lords and ladies of nobility.
By the time The Healer reached adulthood she'd gotten sick and tired of the filthy huts and puking babies. So she went into town after town, inquiring about any sick wealthy individuals. But of course when she showed up and they opened the door only to see a woman in a torn, stained dress they'd slam the door right in her face.
The Healer devised a solution. She quickly acquired some denars and with it bought a silk robe and jewelry. This got her foot in the door but the cures she worked and the reputation that she attained did the rest.
But, she says, I noticed that more denars are spent on war than anything else. If someone raises an army surely they wouldn't want to lose their investment to fevers and infections. So it may be worth someone's while to hire her.
In Summary
"Once I was just another back-country healer, attending to squalling babies and superstitious villagers. But now I'm trying to make the money that my skill with medicine deserves."
